Thank you so much for this,
The resources helped me determine and tell a friend about my problem.

I appreciate you and what you do so much!

I'm sure that these sites are good, but they only apply to certain types of eating disorder. It would be great to see some other tests!

All of those tests told me that I am actually anorexic... So I told my boyfriend and my best friend and they are not convinced, but I am almost positive that I have one...

Anonymous 1: If you know of any other sites offering tests please free to email me links and I will add them. Thanks!

Anonymous 2: I suggest that you get an evaluation so a qualified professional can determine if you have an ED or not. Friends mean well and online test are helpful but it's best to be seen by someone who can evaluate you in person. Best of luck to you.

Hi, Maria... It's best that you speak with a medical professional about your concerns. Talk to a trusted adult, too. If there's a chance that you have an ED it is in your best interest to get treatment ASAP.

I'm fourteen. I've already struggled through anorexia when I was growing up. I think I'm anorexic again. I have four or five un-eaten lunches in my backpack that I've been meaning to throw away but haven't in fear of someone seeing me. I have a habit of standing in front of the mirror, picking out my flaws, telling myself I'm not good enough and that I will never be good enough. I visit a counselor at my school but I'm afraid to tell her about my ED because it will make it real and I don't want her telling my parents.

I know that it can be scary to tell someone what you're going through but it's important that you do so that you can get the help you need ASAP. You deserve it. All the negatives and the fear are your ED talking. Don't listen. Reach out. There are many resources listed in the sidebar here that you can contact for help, too. There is much support there for you. Don't let this go any longer. The sooner you get help, the better you will feel. If you need help finding resources you can contact me at mrsmenopausal@yahoo.com.
Do this for yourself, please.

Hi, I'm 16 and I think I'm becoming anorexic.. Or there's something really wrong. In the at 5 weeks my appetite has been diminishing. I would eat a meal, then if I went to eat again in the same day iI'd feel really sick and bloated. I'm not particularly conscious of my weight and I am aware that I do not have anorexic nervosa. I have done the research and know this. For instance today I only ate a hotdog.. I wasn't hungry but felt obliged, after the first bite I felt sick but I knew I needed to eat so finished it off. Close friends are worrying that I'm not eating enough. I don't know if I have lost weight. I used to avoid scales because I knew I am larger than the average girl my age. However my stomach is a lot slimmer... I don't know.
I feel as though I should visit my doctor about it, but I'm worried I'm wasting her time. She can be quite patronising when I visit her about problems.
Oh and I don't get hungry anymore. Instead of hunger my stomach seems to cramp up and I feel sick. Like 'ew! Gunna throw up' kind of sick. As in, if I eat I'll just throw it back up again... I think that's it

Hi, Angel Loulou. I suggest you see your doctor. You're not wasting her time, that's what she's there for. If she won't listen, see another doctor. Not eating enough is dangerous and you really do need to see what is causing this. I wish you the best!
